The LCA Athletic Department is excited to announce that Adam Miller has been named head coach of the Loganville Christian Academy Lions varsity football team. Having excelled at the college and high school athletics level, Miller brings a depth and breadth of experience to our school.
Miller’s coaching career started at his high school alma mater in South Florida at Coral Springs Charter School. The school saw their most successful football run under Miller’s leadership from 2012-2015. During this time they won 31 games with only 11 losses, had an undefeated season winning the Southeastern Football Conference Championship in 2015 and Miller was named coach of the year. Coach Miller also spent 3 years in the college ranks. In 2017 & 2018 he coached quarterbacks and was the recruiting coordinator at Albany State University, and in 2016 served as an offensive graduate assistant at Florida International University.
Miller comes to LCA most recently from within the Gwinnett County School System and helped take Shiloh High School to their first playoff appearance in 16 years. His experience includes impressive turns as a wide receiver coach, quarterback coach, and assistant head coach/offensive coordinator.
Coach Miller will also be contributing to LCA’s commitment to academic excellence as a Health & PE faculty member.
“Excited doesn’t begin to describe how I feel to be named head coach at LCA,” said Coach Miller. “I look forward to the opportunity to make an impact on the entire LCA community through football. And coming into a program as it transitions into the new GHSA system is a challenge I’m looking forward to.” Miller added, “I’m also making it one of my missions to help restart the middle school football program. I know that age is when many of us first fell in love with the game and I want to be part of that."
Adam and his wife, Joanna, have two daughters, 10 year old Piper, and 6 month old Monroe. They are excited to join the LCA family and be a part of an education centered on Christ.
A “Meet the Coach Night” is set for Monday, February 24 at 7:30pm in the Barn. We look forward to our community having the chance to meet Coach Miller and his family.
