MEET THE SCHOOL COUNSELOR
As a School Counselor, there is nothing I love more than making students feel that they have a safe place to come to no matter what they are going through. My goal is to create a safe environment on campus that cultivates conversation and self-discovery. I want students to know and believe that they are valuable, vital, and unique individuals created by the Lord for a specific purpose. By focusing on a student’s strengths and successes, I encourage each student that I counsel to recognize their potential, believe in their self-worth, and move forward with confidence and positivity.
From PreK3 to senior year, navigating school can be difficult. Students are not only focusing on classwork, but they also are balancing their social life, extracurricular activities, relationships, and so much more. As LCA’s School Counselor, I have the honor of walking alongside our students as they grow into the men and women God has called them to be. I love having the opportunity to build connections with my students so they feel that they have a safe place to go not only when they are struggling but also when they are celebrating. I absolutely love watching students discover who they are, what they love, and what they want to do in the future.
My husband, JR, and I live in Monroe, Georgia, and we have three children attending LCA: Tessa, Tristan, and Julia. We have loved calling LCA our home, and we couldn’t imagine anywhere else we would rather be. If I have not had the opportunity to meet you, my door is always open! I am located outside the main building, beside the nurse’s office in modular 300D.
