FROM THE FOUNDER

Welcome to LCA! We are honored that you’ve chosen to consider us as a potential partner in your child’s academic, spiritual, and social education. Over the course of a ten-month school year, children will spend more time at school than at home. That is a staggering thought when we consider the weight of influence carried in those hours away from home.

Since 1998, our prayer has been that people would sense God's presence the moment they drive onto the campus. We have had a front row seat to God’s activity in the hearts and minds of LCA students living in this generation as we seek to prepare them “academically, spiritually, and socially for God’s call on their lives.” This mission pervades every aspect of the school. It is the lens used to view the important role of athletics and the arts in the scope of the child’s overall education. It is the filter for decision-making. 

We believe that Christian education isn’t an oxymoron. We strive daily to create an environment in which Jesus is at the center of all things secular and sacred. We believe students should be recognized for who they are individually and be exposed to a wide variety of experiences as part of a solid foundation that will enable them to understand and thrive in the world beyond high school. Educating the whole child requires that teachers implement unique approaches to the multi-faceted, engaging curriculum. Learning opportunities reach beyond the core subject areas. From rigorous academics to arts and athletics, God’s presence and story are interwoven. We believe Him to be the author of all truth . . . whether secular or spiritual. LCA desires that students recognize God is not apart from all things but is a part of all things.
