Amy McCaulley was born and raised in New Jersey. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Northeastern Bible College in New Jersey, she pursued a master’s degree in education from Cairn University outside of Philly. Amy is an avid reader and lifelong learner, which is something that she encourages all of the students to be as well.
Amy was an elementary teacher for eighteen years before she became a principal. She’s been a principal for fifteen years total, with six of those years being at Loganville Christian Academy. Before LCA, Amy was the principal at Harvest Christian Academy in the Chicagoland area and at Timothy Christian School in New Jersey.
Amy said, “I love the fact that we can impact lives for Christ through the avenue of education.” She desires to stay on the cutting edge and to make sure that we’re doing our very best for our students. Sometimes this requires thinking outside the box and breaking the status quo, which LCA encourages her to do with the goal of being the best elementary school we can possibly be.
Amy and her husband, Roy, have been married for thirty-six years and attend Journey Church in Monroe. She enjoys doing crafts, sewing, and quilting in her “free” time—although spending days at the beach might be at the very top of her list for things to do when she’s not at LCA. Most of her LS students have heard about Cheese, her cat who used to have a brother named Macaroni.
