On Saturday, January 21, LCA's swim team traveled to Georgia Tech for the GISA State Swim Meet. For the first time in school history, every swimmer on the team qualified for state. Most notable finishers are as follows:
Boys Varsity Team: Brent Taylor, Merritt Reece, Nic Swagel, Zach Bruno
-4th place finish in the 200 yard freestyle relay
- 5th place finish in the 200 yard medley relay
-Team Standing: 4th Place
Merritt Reece, Junior:
-1st place finish in the 500 yard freestyle. Named GISA State Champion of this event. LCA's first State Champion swimmer.
- 2nd place finish in the 200 yard freestyle.
- 5th place finish in the 100 yard butterfly.
Brent Taylor, Freshman:
-3rd place finish in the 100 yard breastroke
- 4th place finish in the 100 yard backstroke
- 7th place finish in the 100 butterfly
