LOWER SCHOOL COMMUNITY SERVICE
Learning to serve others and giving back to the community is an integral part of the LCA story. Through our service learning initiative and community service projects, students have an opportunity to do just that. Each year, grade levels select an area of service.
Projects in the past have included supporting the Loganville Fire and Police Departments throughout the year by writing notes of encouragement and providing cookies and goodie baskets, collecting nonperishable items for the Southeastern Coop, collecting food for the PakaSak Program through First Baptist Church-Loganville, collecting books for Graystone Church’s mobile community library, Operation Christmas Child, collecting clothing and toiletries for “Our House”—a homeless day care center in Decatur, and visiting with residents of Southern Plantation.
Collaborating on these projects provide the means of developing a mindset of service in our students.
