The juniors and seniors of LCA attended a College and Career Fair on Thursday, September 20, held at Meridian Park in Loganville. Mrs. Celia Davis, LCA’s college advisor, said, “Today’s college fair was extraordinary in that over 100 colleges from all over the United States and many local businesses were present to share information with our students. We were proud of the mature, professional way the LCA students interacted with these representatives.” Dylan Alvarez, a senior at LCA, won a gift card for the best engaging conversation with a college rep!
Mrs. Davis provides a College Planning Handbook for the high school students of LCA via iLearn. The handbook includes planning calendars, college fair dates and locations, SAT and ACT dates and strategies, college profiles, campus visit questions, and financial aid helps. Mrs. Davis requires juniors to meet with her individually to help them refine their goals and plan out the process. She is available to meet with juniors, seniors, and their parents whenever needed. One hundred percent of LCA graduates are accepted to a college or university of their choice.
